Okay, so this isn’t a ‘review’, exactly, but I wasn’t sure what to call it. I’m watching a documentary called, “Pray For Japan”, in which Stu Levy does a beautiful job at documenting the clean up and relief efforts in Ishinomaki, Miyagi after March 2011’s tsunami tragedy.
Then there are the heroes – like the principal and teachers at a middle school who worked tirelessly until they were able to track down all of their students in the aftermath of the destruction.
This film is a tear jerker, really it is, and it’s beautifully shot. This isn’t so much a review as a rave – it’s on Netflix right now, go watch it. And make sure to pray for Japan.
